Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use Medobe MindMap. The app provides a thinking layer over Google Sheets while keeping your primary data in your own Google environment.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the app:

  • Google account profile basics: email, display name, profile image.
  • Google Sheets data only for sheets you explicitly connect.
  • App metadata such as preferences, session/auth details, and sheet connection identifiers.
  • Limited technical telemetry such as logs, device/browser type, and error reports.

We do not access your whole Google Drive and do not access files you did not explicitly select.

2. How We Use Data

  • Render your Google Sheets data as a visual map.
  • Apply user-approved edits back to your connected Google Sheet.
  • Maintain personal settings and map-view preferences.
  • Support reliability, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.

3. Data Storage and Ownership

  • Your primary records remain in Google Sheets.
  • We store a cached copy of normalized task rows in our database to render maps efficiently; it is updated when you refresh or edit through the app.
  • You keep full ownership and control over your data.
  • You can revoke access at any time in your Google account permissions.
  • We do not claim ownership over your sheet data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data, do not share it for advertising, and do not use it for marketing profiling. Data is only shared when required to operate Google APIs for app functionality or when legally required.

5. Google API Services & Data Usage

Medobe MindMap requests access to your Google Sheets (specifically the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets scope) solely to provide the core functionality of the application: allowing you to visualize, map, and edit your spreadsheet rows as nodes.

  • Data Use: We only read and write data to the specific Google Sheets that you explicitly connect or modify through our interface.
  • Data Sharing & Transfer: We do not sell, transfer, or share your Google user data with any third parties (including AI data brokers) for any purpose other than providing the core functionality of Medobe MindMap, or as required by law.
  • Limited Use Policy:Medobe MindMap's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Security and Retention

  • Google OAuth-based authentication.
  • Encrypted transport over HTTPS.
  • Restricted access to stored metadata.
  • Metadata is retained only as long as needed to operate the app. You can request deletion at any time.

7. AI Features

When AI features are enabled, data may be analyzed to generate suggestions. Actions are user-approved before execution. Data is not used to train external foundation models.

8. Your Rights

  • Revoke Google access in your Google account settings.
  • Request deletion of stored metadata.
  • Stop using the app at any time.
